Frankestayn Bookstore is an independent bookstore set up in May 2022, in Beyoğlu, right in the heart of Istanbul. Our selection includes books from Turkish and world literature with a focus on queer-feminist fiction and non-fiction titles. Frankestayn also sells books in art history and humanities both in Turkish and in English languages. We would like to promote feminist and queer literature, and organise a meet the editors/authors/translators event. Alev Özkazanç as the author of Bir Musibet, İlkay Özküralpli as the translator of Cinsiyet ve Bilim Trans Çalışmaları, Demet Gülçiçek as the co-editor with Emine Erdoğan of Feminist Eleştiri: Arayışlar ve Müzakereler, and Defne Karaosmanoğlu  as the co-author with Leyla Bektaş Ata and Bahar Emgin of Bu Ev İşlerini Kim Yapıyor Kuzum  will be in Frankestayn on 5 September, 18.30.
